Help us combat summer hunger by joining us for Fresh Produce Distribution season!
Every year, Second Harvest Heartland provides local food shelves like PRISM with produce to distribute to our neighbors. We will need the help of volunteers to sort through the produce, all while giving it out to our neighbors. We will need volunteers to arrive at 9:30AM to begin sorting through the produce and to receive event instruction from our staff. We will begin distributing to our community between 10:00AM - 12:00PM. Lastly, we ask that you'll stay with us to help clean up the event until 12:30PM. This activity is best suited for 8 volunteers, but we welcome a few more supporters to join if you're group is of bigger size. This is a great group opportunity for business and civic groups. Families and children are also welcome. This is an outdoor activity, so be sure to dress appropriately.
