Bring your whole family to ring in the New Year at the 13th annual New Year’s Eve Party at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Enjoy candlelight hiking, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding a lit hill, bonfires and a ball drop on Monday, Dec. 31 from 5-8 p.m. at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center.
More than 1,200 luminaries will light more than 2 miles of hiking and snowshoeing trails as well as a .75-mile paved trail lake loop. Volunteers are needed for multiple activities and get a free thank you dinner at the event.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Help answer questions guests might have
- Be a friendly and welcoming face to our event goers
- Help cook and serve S'mores to guests who visit your fire location
- Start and tend bonfires during the event. Bonfires will be assigned two people per fire. If you wish to be paired up a certain person, please notify the County Volunteer Coordinator.
- This opportunity will be outside, so dress accordingly
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 or older
- Must complete a background check with Dakota County
- Must enjoy talking to and being around people
Minimum Time Commitment
4.5 hours
Activity Level
Medium - May include light work or walking short distances over relatively level terrain. Comfortable shoes recommended. Will be dealing with a potential harmful substance.
