Be one of the friendly faces of the market! Our Holiday Spirit Ambassadors help guests feel welcomed, informed, and excited to explore everything the market has to offer. This is a walking and guest-facing volunteer position. Ambassadors circulate throughout the market, helping visitors find their way, discover activities, and enjoy the full market experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Walking throughout the market and being available to answer basic questions.
- Helping guests locate maps, information, restrooms, entrances and exits, and other important areas.
- Directing families toward the Kids’ Craft Area and other family-friendly activities.
- Helping guests discover vendors, food, entertainment, and activities throughout the market.
- Encouraging visitors to explore the South Village and helping maintain a balanced flow of foot traffic throughout the entire market.
- Providing general directions and helping guests navigate between different areas of the market.
- Communicating questions, concerns, or situations that need additional assistance to market staff.
- Returning supplies, materials, signs, and equipment to their designated locations
- Sharing holiday cheer and helping create a friendly, festive atmosphere for everyone!
Closing duties may involve lifting or moving items weighing approximately 30–50 pounds. Volunteers who are unable to lift this amount are absolutely welcome to participate; simply communicate with our team so we can divide closing tasks appropriately.
This position involves walking and standing outdoors for much of the shift, so volunteers should dress appropriately for winter weather and wear comfortable footwear. No special experience is required. We’re looking for friendly, approachable volunteers who enjoy interacting with people and are excited to help guests have a wonderful market experience. Your job is simple: welcome people, help them find their way, and spread a little holiday spirit along the way!
