Kids’ Craft Area Volunteer — Midday Shift Join us in keeping the Kids’ Craft Area creative, welcoming, and running smoothly during the heart of the market day!
Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming children and families into the craft area.
- Making sure craft supplies are available at each table.
- Restocking and organizing materials as needed.
- Helping children and families understand the available craft activities.
- Keeping tables and the surrounding area clean, tidy, and ready for the next guests.
- Helping maintain a safe and comfortable flow through the activity area.
- Keeping an eye on supplies and communicating any needs or concerns to the volunteer team.
- Debriefing the next volunteer at the end of your shift so they know what needs attention.
Sunday this shift will include closing duties as well. This includes...
- Cleaning and organizing the craft area at the end of the day.
- Returning supplies, materials, signs, and equipment to their designated locations
- Turning off lights, signs, and designated displays.
- Making sure the area is secure, tidy, and prepared for the following market day.
Duties may involve lifting or moving items weighing approximately 30–50 pounds. Volunteers who are unable to lift this amount are still welcome! Please communicate with our team so we can assign tasks that work for you. You do not need to be an artist or experienced craft instructor. A friendly, helpful attitude and willingness to keep the space organized are what matter most!
