About the 2026 IWLA National Conference
In July 2026, the Minnesota Division of the IWLA will proudly host the National Convention in Bloomington, Minnesota. More than 300 representatives from across the country will gather to celebrate conservation achievements, exchange ideas, and shape the future of environmental stewardship in America.
About the Host Committee
The Minnesota Division’s Host Committee leads the planning and coordination for this national event, supported by volunteer teams specializing in technology, logistics, marketing, hospitality, sustainability, and youth engagement. Each volunteer helps ensure the 2026 conference runs smoothly and reflects the League’s mission of conservation and community.
Your Role: Technology Support Volunteer
As a Technology Support Volunteer, you will help attendees, presenters, and staff use digital tools during the conference. You’ll assist with registration systems, presentation setups, Wi-Fi connectivity, and audiovisual equipment. Working alongside the Technology Team, you’ll be a friendly, tech-savvy presence helping make sure every session and event runs without a hitch.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting with conference technology setup, including projectors, microphones, and computers.

Troubleshooting basic technical issues for attendees and presenters.

Supporting registration stations and the digital help desk.

Ensuring the event app and conference tools are working as intended.

Providing onsite support for hybrid or virtual elements of the event.
Time Commitment:

Low engagement through 2025, with occasional virtual check-ins or testing sessions.

High engagement onsite during the third week of July 2026 in Bloomington, Minnesota, for the conference week.

Optional pre-event involvement in spring 2026 for technology testing and setup coordination.
Ideal for:
Volunteers who are friendly, reliable, and comfortable with technology. Prior experience in tech support, event operations, or audiovisual setup is helpful but not required. A willingness to learn and lend a hand is most important.
