About the 2026 IWLA National Conference
In July 2026, the Minnesota Division of the IWLA will proudly host the National Convention in Bloomington, Minnesota. More than 300 representatives from across the country will gather to celebrate conservation achievements, exchange ideas, and shape the future of environmental stewardship in America.
About the Host Committee
The Minnesota Division’s Host Committee leads the planning and coordination of this national event, supported by volunteer teams dedicated to marketing, logistics, hospitality, sustainability, and youth engagement. Each volunteer helps create a meaningful, well-organized, and inspiring experience for attendees.
Your Role: Email Outreach Assistant
As an Email Outreach Assistant, you’ll help communicate the excitement and purpose of the 2026 IWLA National Conference to members, partners, and the broader conservation community. Working with the Marketing & Outreach Team, you’ll draft, format, and send engaging email updates about registration, volunteer opportunities, local events, and sponsor recognition — helping connect thousands of conservationists nationwide to this historic gathering.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting in drafting and formatting email campaigns using provided templates.

Maintaining an accurate and updated contact list of members and partners.

Coordinating with the Marketing Team to schedule and send timely communications.

Monitoring engagement (opens, clicks, replies) to help refine messaging.

Helping share post-conference highlights and thank-you messages.
Time Commitment:

Light involvement through 2025, typically 2–4 hours per month, completed remotely.

Increased activity from April to July 2026 as communication frequency rises.

Optional onsite participation during the third week of July 2026 in Bloomington, Minnesota, for media and communications support.
Ideal for:
Volunteers who are organized, clear communicators, and enthusiastic about conservation outreach. Basic writing and computer skills are helpful — training and templates are provided.
