About the event
We need support cleaning up our closed food center in downtown Minneapolis. We had to make the hard decision to cease operations at the building, and are looking to spruce up the building before we lease it out. At this time, we need to do some deep-cleaning of the building, as well as disassemble & move some items in the building. Once this is done, we can move forward with leasing the building, and get an important influx of dollars to support our other programming, serving almost 7,000 people each year.
This will be a half-day cleanup.
What will volunteers do?
Deep-cleaning of a 1-story building. Volunteers will scrub floors, baseboards, toilets, greasy kitchen fans, etc. This is going to be a manually-intensive day. And a dirty day.
