Food Distribution Volunteer

Description

Community Bridge is a community build agency incorporated as a 501 c (3) that operated at the Center For Changing Lives in Minneapolis, MN providing: free bi-monthly food shelf, holiday food shelf, free weekly community meals, delivered prepared meals, job training, mentorship opportunities, volunteering opportunities, and hospitality through our catering services. Our main events are intentionally around meals to help create an ambiance for conversations that enhance community building and community connections. 


Food Distribution Volunteer Role:

-Pick up prepared food and water and distribute it local unhoused community

-Drive to local site in South Minneapolis and hand out food 

-Coordinate with other Food Distribution Volunteers 

-Update Community Bridge with updates and concerns

-Short Civil Rights Training

-Weekly 2-3 hour shift on Wednesday

-Providing excellent customer service

-Be able to interact and serve shoppers


Volunteer Location: 

-2400 Park Ave S Minneapolis, MN 

-Local sites in South Minneapolis


Time of Day: 

11:30 am to 3 pm


Additional information:

-Individual or for team of two

-Need valid drivers license

-Age 18+

-Dress weather appropriate
