If you’re looking for a chance to get some great exercise while supporting a worthwhile cause, grab some friends to come loop the lakes with Kids ‘n Kinship. On Saturday, April 15th from 9-11am, more than 150 people are expected to participate in the 1st Annual Kids ‘n Kinship 5k Walk. Participants can come walk at Viking Lakes to benefit kids in need of mentors. Businesses, community groups, families and friends can form teams and walk alongside Kids ‘n Kinship youth and their mentors. Along with getting your exercise, you’ll get to hear directly from a match about the amazing impact mentoring makes on our community.
Sign up now for this action-packed event which takes place starting with an Online Auction beginning on March 31 and runs until April 12. The walk will be a one day event taking place on April 15 at Viking Lakes, 2645 Vikings Circle in Eagan. “We’re excited for the opportunity to get our matches, families and supporters outside for a great walk while also fundraising to help our goal of cutting down our waitlist of 40+ kids waiting for mentors” says Jan Belmore, Director of Kids ‘n Kinship.
Companies, groups, families and students can register a team of walkers. Individual walkers are also welcome. To participate, each walker is required to register and donate $25. Each registered team member will receive a bib number and a swag bag including a gift item from Kids ‘n Kinship.
