Description

Help Build a Stronger Community through Youth Mentoring!

Kids 'n Kinship is a non-profit mentoring organization seeking individuals (21+), couples, and families to provide mentoring friendships to youth ages 5-16 in need of a positive role model. Kids ‘n Kinship has two mentoring programs: community-based and school-based.

In the community-based program, mentoring matches meet weekly and participate in low-cost everyday activities like walking the dog, playing catch, making dinner together, playing board games, biking, or exploring new adventures. Scheduling and activities are super flexible and training and support are provided.

In the school-based program, mentors meet with a child a half hour each week at the child’s school during the school-day. Mentors are able to model the importance of doing well in school, read, write or do math or science with the student and have fun getting to know a child and helping them feel connected and successful at school.

There are over 30 youth waiting to be matched with a mentor. Help make a meaningful impact in the life of a child or teen! Find out more at an upcoming Information Session. The Information Session is the place to hear about the children and teens waiting for mentors, the volunteer application process, and the activities and benefits provided by Kids 'n Kinship. If you aren’t able to attend, we will schedule a time that works for you.
