Who We Are

The Normandale Center for Healing & Wholeness is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization that is dedicated to serving the people in and around the Twin Cities metro area. Since our founding in 1998, we have been serving seniors age 60 or better and their caregivers, family members or companions. We strive to establish and maintain seniors' connections with their communities, alleviate isolation, improve and maintain physical and mental health, extend independence, enhance quality of life, lighten caregivers' burden, support caregivers' capacity in their supportive roles, increase community awareness of Alzheimers and other forms of dementia, enable seniors and caregivers in transition to make the most informed decision possible.

What We Do

Staff work with seniors and families to provide Resource Consultation, family meetings, facilitate proactive planning or reactive response to immediate needs, including Caregiver coaching. Provide visiting volunteers for seniors in their homes including those with Memory loss through our Memory Companion program.  Designed to train volunteers to provide safe, nurturing support for people with memory loss while their caregivers take a break.  Community workshops are led by trained volunteer facilitators including evidence based programs; Matter of Balance, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, Paths to Faithful Caregiving, Living well with Diabetes and Living with Chronic Conditions.   Volunteers facilitate Caregiver Support groups for those caring for someone with Alzheimers.

GROUPS: No accommodations.
