Who We Are

The Twin Cities Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. We work locally to raise awareness, provide education, support those impacted by suicide loss, and advocate for stronger mental health and suicide prevention resources.

By volunteering with AFSP Twin Cities, you'll join a nationwide movement to break the stigma around suicide and mental health. Whether helping at a community walk, supporting outreach, or lending your skills behind the scenes, your time and passion directly impact lives and brings us closer to a future without suicide.

What We Do

The Twin Cities Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) brings people together to save lives and support those affected by suicide. We organize community walks, educational programs, and outreach events that raise awareness and reduce stigma around suicide and mental health. We also provide resources and support networks for those who have lost someone to suicide, while advocating for policies that improve mental health and suicide care and prevention.

Every dollar we raise helps fund critical research, advocacy, and education at both the local and national level. Through partnerships with schools, workplaces, and community organizations, we equip people with the tools they need to recognize warning signs, foster open conversations, and create a culture that is smart about mental health and suicide.
