STRATEGY PROJECT | Communication Mapping & Culture Strategy

Organization: Living at Home Network

Website: Living at Home Network – Connecting Organizations. Strengthening Communities. Supporting Aging at Home

Established: 1981     Number of Employees: 1-5

Mission StatementThe Living at Home Network transforms the landscape of healthy aging across Minnesota by empowering our community-based partners with resources, advocacy and collaboration.

Organization’s Challenge: Living at Home Network (LAHN) is a network of 33 community-based organizations serving older adults throughout Minnesota. The Network provides member organizations (which vary widely in size, staffing, and clientele) with resources, tools, trainings, and statewide advocacy. LAHN is uniquely positioned to meet community needs and is committed to expanding and scaling their unique service model. Effectively navigating the varying cultures and demographics of their members is critical to the Network's continued success as a statewide organization. Currently, LAHN is seeking to strengthen trust with members and work more effectively through change. For example, LAHN recently developed custom database software through a collaborative two-year process with members but found engagement and enthusiasm to be lower than expected after implementation. LAHN is seeking support from SMEs to help them map communication touch points with members and review language and content for blind spots in communication. They are also hoping to gain expertise in positive relationship building to better understand and support their members.

Potential Deliverable(s):
1. Map of member organizations communication touchpoints with LAHN
2. Engagement Strategy for positive relationship and team building with members

Requested Volunteer Skill Sets: Process Mapping, Communications, Team Building, Strategic Planning, and Training

2-3 Pro Bono Consultants: Pro bono consultants give their time and expertise to the challenge, supporting the nonprofit and team in finding a solution and working toward the agreed-upon deliverable.
