Mission Statement: The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those with unmet needs, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring community members.
Organization’s Challenge: The Boys & Girls Club of the Fox Valley has had an explosion of growth in the last 10 years. They have added locations and with that comes staff members as well. Up until seven years ago there was not a focused HR department, they were getting the work done individually across department leaders. The organization recently hired a seasoned and skilled HR manager but also accepted a recent resignation of an HR Coordinator. They are under-resourced in staffers, and this kind of project will set them up for creating a more focused HR department. They have identified the need for an HR compliance checklist, process map and best practice recommendations to implement a comprehensive internal HR audit. They work in Paycom to manage the bulk of their internal HR needs like payroll, benefits, and learning management systems. And they also use the typical third-party partners for background checks, etc. The small team is looking forward to having dedicated time to organize and create the resources for a new path forward in HR.
