PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Board Members will utilize personal and professional skills, relationships and knowledge for the advancement of SOMFAM. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Attend Board meetings.
- Strategic planning with occasional task or committee work, special meetings, or training.
- Ensure strong fiduciary oversight and financial management.
- Actively seek to engage members of the community as volunteers and/or donors.
- Serve as advocates and ambassadors for the organization and fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission.
- Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action.
- Attend annual fundraising event.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: SOMFAM is seeking individuals who have financial, legal, marketing, organizational development, volunteer resource, and fundraising experience to help expand the work of our nonprofit.
