Sunday Service Volunteers
At Lyngblomsten, Spiritual Care Services are a cherished time for residents to gather in the Chapel for reflection, prayer, and fellowship. For many, this weekly service provides comfort, connection, and a sense of peace that enriches their emotional and spiritual well-being. However, most of our residents require assistance getting to and from the Chapel and this is where volunteers play an essential role.
We are seeking compassionate volunteers to help transport residents safely and comfortably to the Chapel each Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers may assist by pushing wheelchairs, offering a steady arm for support, or simply providing friendly conversation along the way. This small act of service makes a tremendous difference—ensuring that every resident who wishes to attend has the opportunity to do so.
Volunteering in this way is more than just helping with transportation; it’s about building relationships and sharing moments of kindness. Many residents look forward to seeing familiar volunteer faces each week, and the sense of community that grows from these interactions is deeply meaningful. By giving just a little of your time on Sunday mornings, you can help bring joy, comfort, and connection to those who need it most.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Approach interactions with kindness and understanding.
- Are committed to your scheduled shifts.
Time Commitment:
- Regular weekly shifts available:
- Occasional opportunities to support special holiday services such as Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
