Every Fall, we close up and winterize all cabins & buildings and say goodbye to the bears that visit as they leave for their dens to hibernate. Each Spring, we need to re-open and prepare for being open to the public again by Memorial Day weekend. All meals will be provided. Housing available on-site, if need be! Volunteers get to take 30% off everything in our gift shop!
Help Needed:
- Clean cabins, visitor center, gift shop & kitchen
- Inventory, ticket & display new merchandise in shop
- Hang all educational signs, road signs & banners
- Repair any damage from winter to buildings
- Distribute flyers at surrounding resorts, hotels, campgrounds & businesses
- Stain/paint various buildings, platform, etc.
- Grounds maintenance; weed eating, planting, raking, collecting fallen trees/debris from winter
