Black Butterfly works with community corrections agents and service partners to recruit young women struggling with the pain of addiction, violence, and instability. Potential sisters must show a willingness to change their lives and contribute to the transformational culture of Black Butterfly’s home.
The Black Butterfly home consists of a house Mother and five-ten residents. The values of this community are informed by love and respect for one another; trusting relationships, mutual accountability; and healing core hurts.
Items needed for the residents include:
- toiletries/personal hygiene items (e.g shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste/brush, etc)
- feminine hygiene items (e.g pads, tampons)
- household supplies (e.g kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, etc)
- bus cards
