Join the FUNfitness team to help significantly improve the lives of our Special Olympics Athletes!
FunFitness is the physical therapy discipline of SOMN’s Healthy Athletes program, where free screenings & health education are provided to Special Olympics Minnesota athletes. Volunteer Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants & students lead screenings on flexibility, functional strength, and balance. FunFitness is not only a program for athletes but also for healthcare professionals looking to increase their knowledge of best practices in caring for and communicating with people with intellectual disabilities.
We will be hosting a FunFitness event on August 13 at M Health Fairview Sports Center (4125 Radio Drive Woodbury) and would appreciate your sharing the opportunity with colleagues or healthcare professionals who may be interested.
