If you are looking for an opportunity to flex your muscles we have just the activity for you. We are looking for 5-7 volunteers on Friday, July 22 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am to move boxes of backpacks from a U-Haul onto carts and then into cars or spaces within the building. The volunteer activity is located at Wilder Center, primarily outside, on the north side of the building near the dock. The role involves lifting/pushing 30lbs, climbing into a truck, and standing for long periods of time. Volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves if they had them and wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes and casual clothes.
Through the annual Tools for School Success backpack drive, community members help make sure that more than 1,800 students served by Wilder have school supplies. Join us and help kids get the tools they need to succeed!
