Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to planting seeds of social change through education, training, and community outreach.
We’re currently seeking experienced grant writing volunteers to aid us in reaching our fundraising goals.
POSITION DUTIES
- Grant writing/development- Grant writing strategies
- Possess strong research skills in finding funding opportunities, can manage/ track calendar deadlines
- Possess strong writing skills in grammar, sentence structure and uses creative and innovative approaches to secure grants and funding
- Basic knowledge and ability to apply marketing concepts to written requests of funding
- Gather documents that need to be included in the grant application
- Persistence in researching and applying for grants that will fit the organization’s community outreach projects
- Outstanding time management and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Maintain complete and accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and funding priorities
- Translate program plans and ideas into written documents and include them in grant applications
- Develop and implement fundraising plan for the annual event
