Join Art Buddies this spring for the chance to get creative with a student artist! We are looking for mentors to volunteer 1 hour of their week for up to 7 weeks. Help a Minneapolis student create the superhero of their dreams and watch it come to life in a costume you make together. Be a penpal to a student and write letters back and forth, then join our in person party! No artistic skills required, all are welcome!
Character Creation Program
Our mentors and students work together to create a one-of-a-kind character and costume based on the child’s imagination and values — along the way, we spark imagination and build confidence. With the help and guidance from their creative mentors, kids are able to explore their creativity and build something more ambitious than they ever thought possible.

Connect with your buddy for 1 hour every week for a period of 8 - 10 weeks
