Set Up Crew
Prepare the street and help open it to thousands of people!
The Set Up crew helps move barricades into place during the rolling closure of the event.
*A bike is required for this volunteer role
Help us make Open Streets welcoming and safe for all!
1 shift: 10:00am - 11:00am

Break Down Crew
As a Break Down Crew Volunteer, you have the important role of rolling up and down the Open Streets route reminding bikers, walkers and rollers that the street will be opening up to regular traffic.
Volunteers will also support in removing barricades off the route.
Make it a team effort and invite some friends to join you as well!
*A bike is required for this volunteer role
1 shift: 4:15pm - 5:15pm

Zone Assistant
Each Open Street is separated into "Zones" that are staffed by volunteers that oversee that stretch of the street.
Zone Assistants work with the Zone Leader to support volunteers along the route with safety, logistics, troubleshooting, and making sure that event participants and attendees are having a good time.
If interested, volunteers can do multiple Zone Assistant shifts in one day.
2 shifts: 10:00am - 1:45pm or 1:30pm - 5:00pm

Volunteer Greeter
As a Volunteer Greeter, you'll help set up the Volunteer tent, welcome and sign up incoming volunteers, assist with volunteer logistics, and support staff during break times.
At the nearby Kid Zone, you can also help run awesome activities for little ones!
2 shifts: 10:00am - 1:45pm or 1:30pm - 5:00pm

Outreach Tent Crew
Spread the word about Our Streets Minneapolis, be a friendly face for even-tgoers, and share your enthusiasm with everyone who crosses your path!
While stationed at this tent, you'll help answer questions, sell Open Streets Merchandise, and welcome neighbors up and down the route.
2 shifts: 10:30am - 1:45pm or 1:30pm - 5:00pm

Street Ambassador
Street Ambassadors are the Open Streets event hosts and street safety monitors.
As an Ambassador, you will be stationed at intersections or roving the street to help set up and take down barricades, keep cars off the route, and help pedestrians and cyclists move safely through the busy event.
You'll also be present to answer any questions of event-goers and assist the Our Streets team in measuring event attendance.
2 shifts: 10:45pm - 1:45pm or 1:30pm - 5:00pm

Planeteers
These volunteers help keep the event clean by picking up trash, recycling, and compost and organizing waste along the route.
Gloves, bags, and pinchers are provided.
2 shifts: 12:00pm - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 5:00pm
