Parenting through poverty is about much more than poverty. Lower-income parents face stress from under-employment, unstable housing, and less access to healthy foods. Due to these challenges, their kids have higher rates of asthma, lower graduation rates, and are more likely to live in poverty as adults.
Join us October 14 to give families the tools they need to disrupt these cycles, and set them on a path to success.
We are hosting a fundraiser at Surly Brewing Co. in Minneapolis. There will be live music, food, a silent and live auction. We need people to help us at our registration table, mingle with guests, and to act as a spotter for the live auction.
Set up and take down will be minimal as Surly is responsible for food and tables within the event space.
Volunteers receive a free FamilyWise t-shirt!
Volunteer shifts are 4:00pm-8:00pm
