Get Involved with CLUES Fiesta Latina!
Fiesta Latina is a free family event that celebrates Latino culture and our diverse community. This daylong festival is held annually in the summer next to CLUES Saint Paul Headquarters on Saint Paul’s East Side. Every year Fiesta Latina showcases art, live music and entertainment, food, a health village with free screenings and community resources. Fiesta Latina welcomes more than 4000 visitors including CLUES clients, volunteers, residents, and visitors from all over the metropolitan area.
FIESTA SCHEDULE: Saturday August 10, 2019 - 11am-4pm
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS: Shift #1: 9:30am-2pm & Shift #2: 1pm-5pm
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
WELCOME BOOTH: Volunteers will greet visitors as they arrive, get general count of attendees, explain the passport activity and raffle as well as be points of contact for vendors, participants and staff.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Connect with the community during Fiesta. Community Engagement volunteers will greet and welcome all Fiesta participants, provide information and guidance, and invite attendees to engage in our survey.
CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES: This volunteer team is all about the kids! Face painting, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, coloring, and much more. Bring a smile to kids and families during our Fiesta Latina!
VILLAGE AMBASSADOR: Ambassadors will act as a walking "information booth" for all Fiesta resources and activities.
BOOTH & VENDOR SUPPORT: Volunteers will engage will all vendors and resource booths to check them in to Fiesta, support with check-in and set-up of booths, as well as provide additional support throughout the festival.
GIVEAWAYS, RAFFLES & PRIZES: This volunteer team will provide support with managing and distributing all raffles, prizes and giveaways during Fiesta.
FOOD POP-UP: The Food Shelf volunteers will provide support in sorting and distributing food items to all participants of the Fiesta Latina Pop-up food shelf. Volunteer will also welcome clients and participants to CLUES and be their guide while they shop in the Food Shelf.
SET-UP/TEAR-DOWN CREW: Volunteers will support the CLUES staff with either setting-up for Fiesta or tearing-down once the festival comes to an end.
