The Roseville Area Senior Program (RASP) is seeking a Volunteer Co-Facilitator for their Caregiver Support Group. This group has been a vital part of the RASP program for more than 20 years.
If you have the following experience, this job may be for you.
- Caregiving Experience -A facilitator should be out of their caregiving role for at least one year. Ideally, he/she has cared for a senior loved one (spouse/parent) and some experience dealing with dementia and/or healthcare issues is helpful.
- Leadership Experience – In small group settings or in support group settings, would be helpful, but not required. Be comfortable asking questions and dealing with sensitive conversations.
As a Facilitator, you will be leading, offering take-away educational material, set up, and share meeting reminder by email or calling. For Co-Facilitator, you will be sharing the responsibilities.
The RASP Caregiver Support Group currently meets monthly on the second Tuesday, 12:30-2 p.m., at t the Fairview Community Center (1910County Road B West, Roseville)
Training and orientation are available.
