We need your help at the 16th anniversary of Dish: Cuisine for Change on May 2, 2019 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre! As Second Harvest Heartland’s signature fundraising gala, Dish brings the community together to raise funds and awareness to help end hunger in our local communities. We can't put on a successful event without volunteers like you!
We are in need of help for the following roles:
- Guest Registration (4:30pm-8:00pm): As a Guest Registration Volunteer, your responsibilities will include greeting the guests as they arrive, finding and explaining the contents of their registration packet to them, scanning their credit card, and directing them into the event. You’ll be working with laptops and bar code scanners, so minimal technical experience is required.
- Raffle (4:45pm-8:00pm): Raffle Volunteers will work in pairs to circulate the event to let guests know about the raffle and sell tickets. These people must be outgoing and comfortable interacting with guests and asking them to purchase raffle tickets.
- Live Auction Spotters (6:45pm-9:30pm)- high need!: Spotters will act as a visual liaison between bidders and the live auctioneer by pointing out bidders. They will also assist bidders with questions on their electronic bid pads. Volunteers in this role need to be comfortable in front of crowds.
