Accounting Intern (One Semester Commitment)

Finance Director
Internship Description
This internship is responsible for supporting the finance team which is implementing new accounting applications and processes. This hands on position will expose the intern to all aspects of the accounting functions of a mid-size non-profit business with a $5 million budget and 50 employees nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Build financial reports for department performance.
- Enter adjustments to the general ledger.
- Enter agency budget data.
- Track expenditures.
- Attach electronic documents to financial transactions.
- Other tasks as assigned within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Accounting or finance background.
- Familiarity with Accounting applications, QuickBooks in particular.
- Relatively proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Preferences
- Ability to model behavior consistent with the Casa de Esperanza mission.
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English (Highly encouraged)
- Experience working in/with Latin@ community
