Assist seniors and individuals by helping as a volunteer shopper with Help At Your Door!
In this role you will fill grocery orders for Help At Your Door clients. Orders are printed and ready for our shoppers on weekday mornings starting at about 6:00 a.m. Volunteer shoppers take the lists and walk through the stores, finding the items and filling the grocery carts. Volunteers help double-check each cart, assist with the check-out process, and help pack the groceries into totes to be ready for delivery. Shoppers do not pay for or deliver the groceries themselves.
Shopping shifts typically last 3 hours, and shoppers can sign up to help weekly or bi-weekly. Volunteers must have weekday early morning availability to assist with this role. We shop at this location on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
