Volunteers on Tap is the new way to do happy hour!
This event, hosted by HandsOn Twin Cities, combines HAPPY HOUR and COMMUNITY SERVICE. We are excited to offer this elevated experience combining traditional social ingredients (food and beverages) with a twist - volunteering.
From 4:30 - 6 pm on Thursday, March 9 stop by North Gate Brewing (783 Harding St NE, Minneapolis) to grab a brew, meet some new friends and roll up your sleeves.
This month's project will be making fleece no-tie blankets for the nonprofit organization Home Free. Home Free provides battered women with immediate safety and the opportunity to explore alternatives to living with a violent partner. Emergency housing, advocacy and support services are available at the shelter for up to 30 women and their children.
Beer will be featured at happy hour pricing and light snacks will be provided. Stick around after the event and grab some grub from Butcher Salt food truck and then stay for trivia at 7 pm!!!
