Job Description: Gain work experience with a non-profit organization by assisting with social media video editing, content creation, and inspirational & creative storytelling about the kids & families we serve, with an additional focus on promoting the annual gala on Feb 27, 2027.
This position is unpaid.
Time Commitment: Weekly commitment – 10-15 hours per week (flexible with school requirements)
October - February
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with internal sources and research data to determine which stories will have the most impact
• Write compelling and emotional stories for various mediums
• Design and create videos with persuasive verbiage and inspirational music for reels using video and photo content provided by wish families
• Use social media best practices to boost relevant posts
• Track KPIs for social media outlets
• Available to work the evening of the Winter Ball on Feb 27, 2027
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Marketing, Public Relations or Communications areas of study preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Dropbox
• Experience in Canva or similar graphic design program
• Experience with iMovie. Canva and/or Adobe Premiere Pro in editing and creating video content
• Strong organizational, listening, oral and written communication skills
• Resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, ability to take initiative and to work both independently and as a team
• Willingness to accept a variety of tasks
