Position Summary
360 Communities Food Shelves is seeking a volunteer with experience in programming to support the development of a text message reminder system for food shelf appointments. Our organization is currently exploring SignalWire as the messaging platform and is in the final stages of obtaining approval for implementation. This volunteer role will help design, create, and maintain the code required to send automated reminder text messages using client information stored in ClientTrack.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain code that integrates ClientTrack with the SignalWire messaging platform.
  • Assist with configuring and testing automated appointment reminder text messages.
  • Help troubleshoot technical issues and improve system functionality.
  • Collaborate with staff to understand workflow requirements and ensure reliable message delivery.
  • Support documentation and provide recommendations for future system enhancements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with software development and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with SMS messaging platforms, preferably SignalWire.
  • Knowledge of database systems and data integration concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with non-technical staff.
  • Interest in supporting community services and improving client engagement.
Time Requirements
  • We are looking for someone who would be able to work on this a few hours a week. The role is primarily remote and the timing is flexible. Any meetings could take place virtually or in-person in Rosemount.
