Job Description: Obtain work experience with a non-profit organization by providing support directly related to the Annual Gala on February 27, 2027, a 700-person fundraising event. Gain working knowledge of large-scale communications, crafting displays in Canva, leading volunteers, and learning the building blocks of auctions and event management.
This position is unpaid.
Time Commitment: Weekly commitment – minimum of 6-8 hours per week
Hours are adaptable to school requirements
Flexible: November-February
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator and Director of Development to create a variety of displays for auction items that are enticing to the donor, increasing fundraising potential to meet auction budget goals
• Create & generate certificates for items that don’t have one
• Create & generate tabletop displays for all non-physical items as needed
• Create communications for over 200 volunteers
• Learn and execute setting up an auction room in a visually pleasing manner
• Use organizational skills to track and label Gala items
• Must be available to work all day of Winter Gala on February 27, 2027

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Comfortable with smart phones
