We Need a VP, a Secretary, and Someone Who Loves Grants!
Got a soft spot for South Minneapolis and public education? We want to talk to you. The South High Foundation supports Minneapolis South High School — funding academics, arts, athletics, and scholarships for a school that's one of the most diverse in the state.
We're a small, scrappy nonprofit with real impact (over $3M in assets, decades of history, zero pretension), and we're growing our board.
Right now we're specifically looking to fill:
Vice President — partner with our board leadership and help steer strategy;
Secretary — keep us organized and on the record (minutes, communications, the glue stuff)
Grants Committee Chair — lead our grant strategy and help us land funding for programs like music, dance, ceramics, athletics, debate, and community support.
What we're looking for: People who care about kids getting a shot at a great education — that's really it. South Minneapolis roots are a plus, but you don't have to live here to belong here. Alumni, parents, neighbors, community members, grant nerds, spreadsheet people, big-idea people — all welcome.
What it's actually like: Board meetings that don't drag, a golf tournament every fall that's more fun than it sounds, and a group of people who genuinely like working together (not just saying that). Time commitment is reasonable, the mission is real, and we'd love to have you.
