Description

Help support inclusive recreation programs by organizing and inventorying our Adaptive Recreation closet. This hands-on project will improve how equipment and supplies are stored, tracked, and accessed by staff, helping us deliver high-quality programs for individuals of all abilities.

Our rec closet includes a wide variety of items, from sports equipment like cornhole and basketballs to cooking and baking supplies, arts and crafts materials, and more. This project is perfect for someone who enjoys creating order, building systems, and making a meaningful behind-the-scenes impact.

What you will do:

  • Meet with our Adaptive Recreation team to understand program needs and priorities
  • Sort and organize a variety of recreation supplies and equipment
  • Create a clear, easy-to-use storage system with labeled bins and spaces
  • Conduct a full inventory of items and track quantities and condition
  • Build a simple inventory system using Excel or a similar tool
  • Identify items that are low, missing, or need replacement

Time commitment:
This is a flexible, project-based opportunity estimated at 15 to 30 total hours, scheduled around your availability.

Ideal volunteer:
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently. Experience with spreadsheets is helpful but not required.

Impact:
Your work will help staff save time, stay organized, and ensure participants have the supplies they need for fun, safe, and inclusive experiences.
