This position supports basic needs delivery by preparing completed grocery orders for distribution and loading them into volunteer drivers’ vehicles. Volunteers ensure each order is organized, accurate, and handled with care, following food safety and confidentiality guidelines that protect participant dignity and privacy. This role helps ensure timely, efficient deliveries while maintaining the quality and integrity of each household’s groceries.
Responsibilities
· Load pre-packed grocery orders into volunteer drivers’ vehicles based on assigned routes
· Ensure orders are organized, complete, and handled safely during loading
· Follow food safety and proper handling guidelines, especially for cold and fragile items
· Respect participant confidentiality and privacy at all times
· Work efficiently to support timely departures while maintaining attention to detail
· Communicate any issues, missing items, or concerns to staff promptly

Qualifications:
· Great for small groups of up to 4 people
· Ability to follow instructions and work with consistency and care
· Comfortable standing, lifting grocery items up to 20 lbs, and moving carts throughout the shift
· Commitment to confidentiality and respectful conduct
· Reliable and able to complete scheduled shifts
Time Commitment:
As needed if available. Shifts are daily Tuesday through Friday 12:50 PM to 3:00 PM
