About the Role

Our nonprofit organization is seeking a detail‑oriented and tech‑savvy volunteer to help reorganize and streamline our Google Drive. Over time, our digital files have grown significantly, and we need support to bring structure and clarity to our shared workspace so our team can work more efficiently and confidently access important documents.

This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers of all ages—youth (with strong computer skills), college students, working adults, and retirees—to contribute meaningfully to a mission‑driven organization. The work is flexible, virtual, and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize Google Drive folders to create a clear, logical structure for both main and subfolders.
  • Develop and apply a consistent naming convention across documents and folders.
  • Identify and remove duplicate files while ensuring important versions are retained.
  • Flag files for review that may need to be archived, updated, or deleted.
  • Maintain clear communication with the project lead regarding questions or recommendations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfortable using Google Drive and basic file‑management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and maintain consistency.
  • Reliable and able to commit to approximately 2 hours per week.
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
  • Teens are welcome (recommended ages 15+); retirees encouraged—anyone with solid computer skills can excel!
