Join HandsOn Twin Cities in bringing the community together for the 2026 MLK Day of Service at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This high-energy, meaningful community event will combine hands-on service and learning as hundreds of volunteers come together to honor Dr. King’s legacy through action. Together, we’ll assemble hygiene kits and snack packs that will directly support local nonprofit organizations and neighbors in need. Event Support Volunteers play a vital role in making the day run smoothly and welcoming for all participants.
Event Support Volunteer responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and directing volunteers as they arrive
- Providing instructions and encouragement at activity stations
- Replenishing supplies at assembly tables
- Sealing, moving, and organizing completed kits
- Assisting with event set-up and clean-up
No prior experience is needed—all training will be provided onsite. If you enjoy being part of a team, helping others have a great experience, and supporting large-scale community impact, this is a great opportunity for you.
