On Thursday, September 25, Wilder is hosting an East Clinic grand opening to invite the community to see our new space at this open house style event. The celebration will include a ribbon cutting, tours, refreshments, activities for kids, and time to chat with others.
We are seeking volunteers to help welcome people in to our space. Join us as an individual or a small group to support traffic flow, lead an activity station, or face paint!
Volunteer Shifts & Responsibilities:
- Traffic Control Volunteer: Direct cars as they arrive to open parking spots and prevent cars from turning into areas of the event where folks are walking or standing. You will follow the lead of a staff person in this role. You may be stationed outdoors at the entrance to our parking lot in a vest to talk with drivers as they enter and explain where to turn, or you may be stationed outdoors at specific parts of the parking lot in a vest to help wave guests to parking. One volunteer will be indoors helping with line management for activities to direct folks where to go. This role involves standing for the duration of the shift. Volunteers must be age 18+. Help from 1:30-4:30pm.
- Activity Volunteer: Lead kid’s activities outside or inside, such as playing giant Jenga or bean bag toss, engaging in arts & crafts, or helping with crowd control and lines. When you arrive, you’ll carry items to their area at the event and set them up. At the end, you’ll pack up items. Volunteers may stand or sit for this role, depending upon the station.
