We are celebrating our BIG 5-0 with a car show, food trucks, awards, kids activities, music and raffles! We are looking for volunteers to help us on August 2nd between 7am - 4pm.
We have several time slots and tasks for folks age 18+. bit.ly/NewgateVolunteer to sign up for specific shifts and time slots.
Volunteers will receive a special commemorative t-shirt to keep and a lanyard to wear day-of + access to our indoor VIP lounge with A/C and refreshments.
Roles include:
- Morning set up at 7am. We will have a few tents, tables and chairs to unfold and set out.
- Concession stand for Free popcorn, cotton candy, water
- Keeping the Shaded seating + table are tidy
- Clean up from 2pm-4pm. We will need to fold up tables, tents and chairs.
- Park & Ride attendant (3 blocks away)
- Check-In for car show 8am-9:30am (confirm pre-registered car, hand out lanyard, car #, Swag bag)
- Car Usher - once car has been checked in, this role will walk along side the car to their designated parking
- Placing event signage around property
- Taking down event signage and neighborhood event signs
- Raffle table attendant
- DJ supporter
- Face Paint + Balloon Artist helper (as needed)
- Photobooth/Selfie Station helper (people may ask for help taking pictures + we'd like to see folks share on social media to tag us)
- Floaters: enjoying the event to help answer Qs, assist vendors as needed, keep property clear of trash
- Water Cooler attendant (helping make sure coolers have water stocked)
- TapTruck assistant (this 1950's truck will have n/a beverage taps offering free soda/lemonade/iced tea, and they would benefit from a helper to keep cups and ice stocked as needed.
