Description

Join us for a season of fun and smiles!

Our adaptive horseback riding lessons have children and adults with special needs of all levels of experience coming out to work with our horses.  Some just need help with the horse while they are mounting, some need to have a leader control all aspects of their riding.

We typically have been using our indoor arena, but may also go outside to our outdoor arenas or on our trails.  Volunteers need to be experienced enough with horses to be able to control a spook or stumble while under saddle and to be able to walk an hour at a time in the deep sand of our arena or the uneven terrain of our trails.  Sidewalkers need to be able to give encouragement and possibly some hands-on guidance as well as be able to remove an adult (175 lbs.) rider from the back of a horse in case of an emergency.

In the spring through fall, we offer classes on Mondays through Thursdays in the afternoon (4 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7 pm)  . Additionally, in the summer, we also have morning classes on Wednesdays at 9 am and 10:30 am.

Our riders love to come out and enjoy their time with horse friends. Please come out and join us to make their experience safe and enjoyable!
