Every Meal Project  

In this high-energy and high-impact volunteer opportunity, you’ll form assembly lines and pack bags containing approximately four meals of good food that is nutritious, delicious, and relevant. Every food bag we distribute to hungry children in our community is packed by volunteers with a variety of shelf-stable fruits, vegetables, proteins, and grains. Volunteers will (depending on role) be standing, walking, and/or bending for the majority of a two-hour long session. Most volunteers will be standing (or sitting as stools are available) on an assembly line, and others will be fulfilling specialized roles which include: palletizing (lifting boxes), labeling (standing/sitting), box making (standing, some movement), restocking (bending & lifting), and recycling (bending, reaching, walking). Additional accommodations can be made as needed (Ex: Wheelchair-bound volunteers, sensitivity to repeated movement, etc.) by consulting Every Meal Staff.
