We have a special project coming up on May 9th or 10th!!
We are looking for a group to come assist with building a frame for our high tunnel! A high tunnel is an unheated greenhouse that extends the growing season to bring you vegetables in the winter and spring months! Our Market Garden Program has received a grant to install a high tunnel on our urban farm site but we need your help to build and erect the structure! We are looking for this special group to be able to stay a little longer, ideally from 9am-2pm, and be able to follow directions to use basic tools like drills and hammers. A group of 10-12 would be ideal. This is our first-ever high tunnel at Urban Roots, so it will be a bit of history in the making and super fun! Bring a bag lunch to enjoy, dress for working outside and we will provide everything else!
