Description:
We are looking for individuals passionate about gardening and sustainability to work the land and grow the seeds of change in the Sacred Tree Garden and the Celestial Garden. The Celestial garden is an emerging food forest/local food production collaboration that aims to bring health, culture, education, environmental justice and food sovereignty to North Minneapolis.
Goal: Fight climate change and food insecurity in North Minneapolis
Qualifications
- Can be any age
- Should enjoy gardening and be interested in sustainability and ending food insecurity
- Must be able to work in-person in the gardens located in North Minneapolis
Requirements
- Hours are flexible, but preferably:
- Commit to 2 months of volunteer work
- Work in the gardens at least 3 times (or 6 hours) a month
- Must show up to work in gardening clothes
- Must bring water and snacks and gardening tools (if possible) for yourself
Responsibilities
- Work hands-on in the gardens:
- Garden in the Sacred Tree Garden
- Scheduled group work happens every Monday from 6:00PM - 8:00PM

- Garden in the Celestial Garden
- Scheduled group work happens every Tuesday from 6:00PM - 8:00PM
- Address: 2210 Emerson Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55405
