Who We Are

Project Sweetie Pie (PSP) is a staunch and passionate advocate for social change. A progressive nonprofit, PSP continues to lead the way in the "Green Movement." Since 2010, we have been thought leaders--the Johnny Appleseed of urban farming/local food production--and have been the town crier; a vibrant, singular voice advancing the need for increased public awareness and direct action centered on global warming/climate change in north Minneapolis and beyond. Working with neighborhood residents, large and small nonprofits, university scholars, member of the faith community, large and small businesses, philanthropists, metro-area neighbors and friends, and government entities, PSP has been challenging the status quo's methods and protocols and the political and civic powers-that-be's conventional wisdom that have left communities of color dead on arrival, disheveled and disenfranchised. We remain vigilant in our efforts, demanding our fair share of the pie.

What We Do

Strategically, we continue to navigate the societal potholes and the financial pitfalls that have rendered our communities hopeless, helpless and hapless; we continue to set new precedents and new goals. With a heightened sense of urgency, we steadfastly design innovative grassroots initiatives that are solutions-based and put us firmly on the road to recovery. Our methods? Inform, infuse, inspire and instruct!  We remain committed to authentic, transformative change that is community led and community fed. We resolutely work on the front lines, marketing and promoting a suite of initiatives that uplift equity and inclusion as the pivotal seeds of change that must fuel our nation's future.
