So many questions... Seniors living in our subsidized independent living apartments face so many issues at this stage of life. We would like to be able to provide them a chance to meet with a volunteer to locate community resources that would be beneficial to them.
Responsibilities: (Can include but are not limited to…)
- Research organizations that serve senior and/or provide services beneficial to seniors, including any referral requirements.
- Meet with residents at our Ridgeview Terrace site one-on-one or in small groups to discuss personal issues of concern.
- Address issues of concern with resident and , if applicable, staff.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Provide positive customer service
- Education and Experience as counselor or social worker required
- Knowledge of community resources helpful.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
