We are looking for veterans who can help deliver meals and a friendly visit to clients served by Bloomington-Eden Prairie Meals on Wheels. If you’re looking for a way to become more connected to your community and have meaningful interactions with the people in it, please sign up to become a meal delivery volunteer!
How you can help: Volunteer drivers deliver much more than a nutritious meal - they bring a smile and kind words, relieve isolation, and provide peace of mind for meal recipients and their care givers.
Qualifications: Volunteer one hour over your lunch time during the weekdays on a schedule that works for you. You must have your own transportation and license.
Details: Volunteers drive to the program site, pick up meals stored in easy-to-carry thermal packs, and deliver them to residences using a route designed by the program. Delivery coordinators at Bloomington-Eden Prairie Meals on Wheels will provide all the necessary resources to get you started.
**Delivering meals can fit into a work lunch break. It is also a great family-friendly volunteer opportunity so plan to bring your kids or grandkids!
