Description: To better serve the community, CBC Healthy Seniors is combining forces with East Side Elders! We need help on Friday, May 12 with the physical task of moving offices. Volunteers will help load a moving truck, unload the truck at the final destination, and haul items up the stairs into the office. This is a very physically demanding task - there is no elevator in the building the items are moving to, so there will be lots of walking up and down the stairs. This is a great opportunity to get a workout in and help East Side Elders better serve seniors on the East Side!
About us: East Side Elders helps seniors live full and rewarding lives — in the home and community they want — for as long as possible and as healthy and well as possible. Our teams of volunteers, students and community members provide a wide range of services and activities that give the necessary support and resources to our elderly neighbors wherever they call home.
Qualifications:
- Must pass a background check
- Must be physically able to lift heavy items, transfer items in and out of a truck, and walk up and down stairs
- Must have your own reliable transportation
