General Description
Dakota County Land Conservation along with Dakota County Park staff will host a natural resources event collecting native seeds on private easement land. Join us to collect seed you can take home and plant next spring. We will be focusing on native plant seed collections for this project. The plants are not necessarily eco-types for this region, but are native to native prairies in Dakota County.
Feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks to share if you would like. After the collection event, for those up for a short climb, there will be a brief tour of a recently restored prairie and a scenic overlook of the Cannon River Valley (pictured).
