HELP INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF CONSERVATION LEADERS

Calendar Jul 16, 2026 through Jul 18, 2026

Description

Support youth ages 8–18 as they learn outdoor ethics, conservation leadership, water science, and environmental stewardship at the 2026 IWLA Youth Convention.

While more than 300 conservation leaders from across the country gather in Bloomington for the 2026 Izaak Walton League National Convention, hundreds of young people will be participating in a first-of-its-kind Youth Conservation Convention.

We're looking for caring, enthusiastic volunteers to help create an unforgettable experience for youth who want to make a difference in the world around them.

No experience is required. Whether you're a conservationist, educator, parent, college student, outdoor enthusiast, or simply someone who believes in investing in young people, we have a place for you.

Volunteers may assist with:

  • Youth activities and games
  • Outdoor ethics and Leave No Trace programs
  • Conservation service projects
  • Water science activities
  • Registration and hospitality
  • Event logistics and supervision
  • Mentoring and encouragement

Flexible volunteer shifts are available throughout the event.

Why Volunteer?

  • Help young people discover a passion for conservation
  • Support hands-on environmental education
  • Meet youth leaders from across Minnesota and beyond
  • Be part of one of the largest conservation gatherings in America
  • Help ensure every child feels welcomed, supported, and inspired
